Happy Hannah on Her 8th Week (2mos)

Today marked the little girl's 8th week so off we went to see the community nurse for her regular monthly checkup and we were very delighted to her developments and milestones..

At this stage, the little girl is still easy to manage and sleeps well and for that we are very grateful. Here are more of her developments:

Cognitive Developments: She now can now recognize mummy and daddy and her siblings and almost always gives a smile as soon as she sees us. At times too, she gets mesmerized by anything that is moving and would stare at them for quite a while.

Language Development: She now can hold a "conversation" with mummy and daddy and she actually loves having these communications with us. She responds whenever we talk to her by babbling back and usually with great enthusiasm and with lots and lots of giggling and smiling which of course melts our heart.

Physical Developments: Now this is the part which excites me the most as I am assured that our bub is indeed growing and thriving ... here are more stats from the nurse today

  • Weight: 4.4kg
  • Length: 54 cm
  • Head Circumference: 37.2cm
As what I did with her big brother last year, I will do a month by month update of our little princess here as well and compare the previous months so we can see the difference as well as how she is treading along in the growing department so watch this space every month at around this time to see how things are panning out.

Anyway, the little girl is due for another feed (to make her grow some more) so see you next time for more developments and to those that are avidly following us, thanks and we hope you enjoy your stay (whether its for getting some recipes or just to see how we are going) we appreciate your visit.
